Conduit Shape (SWMM)
The cross section shape of a conduit in a SWMM network is selected in the Shape field of the conduit Property Sheet.
For each conduit, an existing shape or user defined shape can be selected.
Pipes shapes
The following shapes are available for closed conduits:
Circular | Horizontal elliptical | Modified baskethandle
Force main | Vertical elliptical | Egg
Filled circular | Arch | Horseshoe
Closed rectangular | Gothic | Catenary

Baskethandle | Semi-circular | Custom | A user-defined closed (regular) conduit, whose cross-section is specified using a shape curve. |
Channels
The following open channel shapes can be specified for conduits:
Parabolic | Rectangular | Power
Trapezoidal | Triangular | Irregular | A user-defined open (irregular) conduit whose cross-section is defined using a transect. |
Conduits dimensions are specified in the conduit parameters. Information about creating user-defined conduits is contained in the Creating User-defined Shapes (SWMM) topic.
